Indonesian Army Acquires New Batch of KCR-60M Fast Attack Boats

Naval News reported that the Indonesian Army has acquired a new batch of KCR-60M fast attack boats.

Celebrating the Commissioning of New Boats

A post on the site said: “On Tuesday, May 17, the Indonesian Army celebrated the commissioning of two new KCR-60M type fast boats for service in its navy, these are boats No. 5 and 6, which are manufactured for the Indonesian army.”

Improved Design and Technology

Depending on the location, the two new boats were built at the Indonesian state-owned shipyard PT Pal, which previously delivered 4 KCR-60M boats to the country’s army in 2014 and 2019, but the last two boats received improvements, including overall design, cabin improvements and technology, which makes them more stable in motion.

Impressive Specifications of the KCR-60M Boats

Each of the new boats KKR-60M has a length of 60 m, a width of 8 m and a displacement of 500 tons. These boats can move at a speed of 30 knots, carry 55 people and travel 2,400 nautical miles per flight.
