Russia presented an export version of its tank "Armata" on the forum "Army-2022"

During the Army-2022 forum, Rosoboronexport presented a modified version of the T-14 Armata tank intended for export.

The company’s specialists noted that the version presented at the forum is the first fully modified version of the tank, which appeared before the general public, and Rosoboronexport demonstrated its miniature at the IDEX-2021 exhibition, which was held last year in Abu Dhabi.

During IDEX-2021, Director General of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev noted that “six foreign states have shown interest in acquiring this tank.”

Russia first showed the T-14 Armata tank during a military parade dedicated to Victory Day in 2015. This tank differs from the tanks of the previous generation in its uninhabited combat turret and armored capsule, which provides high protection for the crew, as well as the Malachite dynamic protection system, and the Afganit active protection complex contained in them.

Last June, military expert Alexei Leonkov pointed out that “the fourth-generation Armata tank has many advantages over the third-generation German KF51 Panther tanks.

The Army-2022 forum will be held this year from August 15 to 21 at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, as well as at Kubica Airport and the Alabino campsite on the outskirts of the Russian capital Moscow.
