According to the paywalled article, prominent corporations like Apple, Meta, and Amazon have re-examined how they build technology in response to the increased interest in generative AI spurred by ChatGPT. These businesses reportedly want to prevent Microsoft from maintaining its dominance in AI. Particularly Apple and Tesla are reportedly rethinking their approach to AI.
According to supply chain sources, the trend is expected to fuel the development of next-generation CPUs tuned for AI operations. Thanks to the Neural Engine in Apple silicon, Apple already has a sizable advantage in this field of local processing. To use the AI software for content development and the deeper insights that new-wave AI tools may provide, the organization still needs to finish developing it.
Apple has mostly avoided the competition to create generative AI tools until now. Even while the business recently held its annual AI summit for staff, the subsequent sessions didn’t focus on its generative AI technologies but on topics like healthcare, privacy, and computer vision.
