Explore the Latest Upgrades of the Forthcoming iPhone 15 Devices

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series of phones this September as it is the usual date in where Apple presents its new phones.

The series will include 4 phones for the first time: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Until now; Reports and leaks indicate that the iPhone 15 Pro models will have a number of exclusive features that won’t be available on the affordable iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

Here are 9 of the exclusive features expected to be supported by the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models:

1- Better performance with Apple’s new A17 processor:

Reports and leaks indicate that Apple will supply iPhone 15 Pro models with the processor (A17 Bionic) manufactured with 3nm technology, manufactured by Taiwanese chip company (TSMC), which is said to provide better performance than 5nm processors nm, while requiring 35% in less energy consumption.

A report from Nikkei Asia indicated that 2023 could mark the second consecutive year in which only the Pro models of the new iPhone series are equipped with the latest Apple processors. As Apple has included its latest A16 processor in the iPhone 14 Pro phones, which is manufactured with TSMC’s 4nm technology, which is currently the most advanced.

While in the base iPhone 14 models, I included the older A15 processor, which I used in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro models that I launched in the second half of 2021.

2- iPhone 15 Pro phones frame is made in titanium:

Since the launch of the iPhone 10 in 2017; Apple uses stainless steel in its phone frames. But the leaks indicate that the frames of the iPhone 15 Pro models will be made in titanium, which is stronger and lighter than stainless steel, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman and analyst Jeff Pu. Compared to stainless steel, titanium has a relatively high hardness which makes it more resistant to scratches.

whether these reports are accurate; This will be the first time Apple has used titanium in iPhone phones, as Apple used titanium in its Apple Watch Ultra last year.

3- The design will come with very thin curved edges:

Last month, 9To5Mac released what it said were leaked 3D drawings from a Chinese factory specializing in making protective phone covers, which revealed some issues in the design of the phone and the most important observations on the design were the absence of the (Lightning) port, where it was replaced by the USB-C port.

Other important changes to the design include; It is the curvature of the edges, both on the glass and on the metal frame, in as the glass bends slightly towards the edges, and the frame itself bends more than before, to become more like the design of the 14 inch and 16 computer MacBook Pro 3-inch and the new MacBook Air M2, which helps make the phone more comfortable to hold in hand, compared to the sharper corners of current Apple phones.

Similar to recent Apple Watch models, the iPhone 15 Pro models will have very thin curved bezels around the screen, according to the “ShrimpApplePro” leak account on Twitter.

4- A faster USB-C port:

All reports so far indicate that Apple will replace the charging port (Lightning) with a USB-C port in iPhone 15 phones. But it will distinguish iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max phones with speeds of the latter standard USB 3.2, providing data transfer speeds of up to 40 Mbps. gigabits per second, with the benefit of a recharge super fast, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

While the base iPhone 15 models will include a USB-C port, it will be limited to USB 2.0 speeds like the (Lightning) port.

5- Wi-Fi 6E support:

All phones in 2023 will include the second generation of Qualcomm’s chip (SnapDragon X70) to handle 5G and Wi-Fi networks, and it is the first 5G modem chip that supports artificial intelligence to provide faster processing speeds, better communication range coverage and increased energy efficiency.

However, support for the fastest connection (Wi-Fi 6E) is expected to be limited to iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max phones. Compared to Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E – the latest version of the standard of network wireless (802.11) – provides higher bandwidth, thus providing faster connection speeds, lower latency, and higher capacity.

(Wi-Fi 6E) will improve connectivity everywhere, at home, in travel, in densely populated areas and in large public places such as: airports and stadiums. It will also provide HD streaming for applications such as: video conferencing, virtual reality applications, lower latency for gaming and internet applications of Things and speed of download higher.

6- Increase RAM capacity:

iPhone 15 Pro models will have 8GB of RAM, according to Taiwanese research firm TrendForce, while base iPhone 15 models will likely include 6GB of storage, as is currently the case with iPhone 14 phones.

The large amount of RAM will come in handy for multitasking on the iPhone by allowing multiple apps to run in background at the same time, preventing the app from reloading the contents when you reopen it. Additionally, the 3nm A17 Bionic processor that will power the iPhone 15 Pro models will boost overall RAM performance.

If iPhone 15 Pro models come with up to 8GB of RAM, this will be Apple’s first increase in storage capacity since the iPhone 12 Pro, which launched in 2020.

7- Replacing the volume buttons with touch buttons:

The look of the iPhone Pro model has remained largely unchanged over the last few years as phones get a new processor, new image sensors, and sometimes a better screen, but the phone’s external components, such as: the frame and volume buttons, are remained essentially the same since the iPhone 11. Pro.

However, recent leaks indicate that the volume rocker button on my upcoming phones (iPhone 15 Pro) and (iPhone 15 Pro Max) may be a tactile button with a vibrating response when pressed, instead of the two separate buttons on the current iPhones.

Touch buttons can improve water resistance and reduce wear and tear on your device by reducing moving parts, and this change is expected to design of the phone will increase the demand for the next iPhone 15 Pro.

8- Camera improvements:

A report from (Nikkei Asia) has indicated that Apple will rely on iPhone 15 camera phones on Sony’s new sensor technology to provide better imaging capabilities in its upcoming phones, as Sony’s latest sensor technology will nearly double the level of signal saturation in every pixel compared to traditional sensors.

Recent leaks also indicate that the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a telephoto lens, and this could lead to the phone supporting optical zoom at at least 6x speed, up from 3x in the iPhone 14 Pro models.

9- Improved LiDAR scanner:

iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a more energy-efficient LiDAR scanner provided by Sony, which can improve 3D scanning performance and contribute to longer battery life.
