This step comes from Microsoft to calm the concerns of various organizations who fear the use of ChatGPT and prohibit relying on it to work on their employees, in so as not to leak sensitive data that could harm the interests of the organization or its customers.

away from any possible loss

The report also states that Microsoft’s anticipated product will be announced “later in the quarter in course of the year” and will be a version of ChatGPT in run on dedicated servers separate and isolated from those used by other companies or individual users running different versions of the bot in an Edge browser, Windows system or through any other application or service, according to the Arabic portal for technical news.

This will keep sensitive data from potential leaks and will not be used to train the GPT language model behind the ChatGPT chatbot.

These secure, more privacy-friendly and data-preserving versions will also be more expensive to run and use than the version standard of the bot. The prices of these next versions of ChatGPT will be 10 times the price of the regular version currently in the hands of users.

similar product

OpenAI, the lead developer of the robot, also plans to launch a similar product in the coming months, as data fed into the robot from company employee accounts will not be used to train the language model on which it is based.

The main difference between Microsoft and OpenAI products is that Microsoft’s version will use the company’s Azure cloud platform servers as back-end instead of competing Amazon web servers.

Interestingly, Microsoft can resell OpenAI products, led by the ChatGPT chatbot, under terms agreed between the two companies and an existing deal for years to come after Microsoft invests billions of dollars in Open AI. But it appears that this deal could eventually lead to direct competition between the two companies.

Samsung and other companies

And recent media reports have indicated that Samsung has banned the use of AI generative tools, such as ChatGPT or Google Bard, on its employees after several incidents of accidental leaks of sensitive employee data, and this has made them available to other companies and users if the robot asked about it.

While Samsung has followed the example of many other companies and institutions, such as the banks ‘JP Morgan’ and ‘Goldman Sachs’ and the financial services company ‘Citigroup’ and the communications company ‘Verizon’ while the list should be long during the next period.

The ChatGPT chatbot has also been temporarily banned in Italy, before the censors withdrew and lifted the ban after the development company joined some changes to increase the level of security and increase privacy.
