Russian border guards use a magnetic anti-drone

The Border Institute of the Federal Intelligence Service of Russia (FSB) received a patent for an anti-unmanned aerial vehicle.

Institute scientists have created a small-sized unmanned aerial vehicle that specializes in destroying enemy electronic equipment and transporting a warhead. The drone consists of a drone and a combat charge that separates from it. The drone has a cylindrical shape with folding wings and rudders, the drone is placed inside the container from which it is transported and launched.

The combat charge is a rocket projectile with an electrical impulse generator and a remote detonation system.

The drone was equipped with infrared cameras, GLONASS satellite navigation devices, a solar battery and an electric motor, and an upper stage was installed in the rear of the drone body.

It is assumed that the drone is launched in an area where the enemy uses drones or electronic means. The solid propellant motor takes the drone to a height higher than the flight altitude of the enemy drones, as the wings open and the engine turns on, and the drone begins to fly horizontally. It stays in the air regardless of time thanks to the presence of a solar battery and sends information to the command center about conditions in the air and on the ground.

After detecting the target, the drone approaches the target, launches a warhead and undermines the electromagnetic pulse generator, which generates radiation of great strength, destroying enemy drones.

Drones can be used to combat both single drones and drone flocks. The drone can be used repeatedly, and after completing the mission, the drone returns to its base and lands at the airport with a parachute.
