When the screwdrivers are dry, they feel good in your hand. However, the smooth handles are hard to hold when they are greasy. The case is good at having tools but lacks durability. When it came, there was a hole in the bottom of the case, and one of the socket holders was bent and barely held the socket in place. So it’s great to see one in a set with only the most essential tools. The drill comes with 10 bits that can be used to make pilot holes for various screw sizes. We also like the hole saw and spade bits. You might not need to cut a big hole in solid wood very often, but if you want to run some wires through the back of a desk or cut a finger pull in a cabinet, they are fantastic to have around. There are 11 torque settings on the drill that let you boost the power for tasks with more friction. We also like the needle nose, the slip joint, and the pliers. Their handles are a little short, but they are easy to hold and feel more solid than some.
Even though the drill is pretty good, it must be stronger for big jobs. The battery lasts about 25 minutes of continuous use, long enough to cut a few hundred pilot holes or a few top spots. You’ll need an extra battery for longer projects, so you’ll have to buy something else. The battery that comes with it must be charged for more than three and a half hours. Also, the carrying case is just a bag with no pockets to keep things in order. This means that your tools will be in a pile. When things are like that, drill bits don’t last very long. The rest of the tools are about proper. Narrow-necked hammers are easy to break, especially when pulling nails out. The bits on the screwdrivers are oddly big. The flathead bit is 5/16,” and the Phillips bit is a #14 wood screw. But the bit driver gives you less to choose from. The handles and ergonomics of the pliers and snap-off blades could be better, and the adjustable wrench wobbles. Still, this is a good starter kit if you want to use a cordless drill to get things done quickly.
