A new round of layoffs on Twitter

Twitter made more job cuts in team Trust and Safety which manages global content moderation and in the hate speech and harassment unit.

The Bloomberg report cited informed sources as saying at least 10 more cuts hit workers at the company’s offices in Dublin and Singapore on Friday night.

Bloomberg reported that among those fired from the platform social network owned by billionaire Elon Musk are Nour Azhar bin Ayoub, who was recently appointed head of site security in the Asia-Pacific region, and Analoisa Dominguez, senior director of revenue policy of Twitter.

The report added that staff were also made redundant in the team dealing with disinformation politics, global appeals, and media governments on the platform.

Twitter’s VP of trust and security Ella Irwin confirmed to Reuters that the company had made some cuts to the teamwithout elaborating.

“We have thousands of people in ours team Trust and Safety who work on content moderation and we take no shortcuts for the people who do this job every day,” he said in an e-mail.

He added that some of the manpower cuts have happened in areas in where there weren’t enough numbers to go on or where it made sense to include them.

Twitter laid off nearly 3,700 employees in early November as part of Musk’s cost-cutting measure, and hundreds have since resigned.
