Archaeologists discover part of an eighteenth-century coronation chalice in Moscow
Alexei Yemelyanov, Head of the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage, announced that during recent excavations in Moscow, archaeologists unearthed part of a coronation chalice dating back to the eighteenth century.
Discovery of Rare Artifacts
At a press conference held at the Russia Today press center, Yemelyanov shared that alongside the coronation chalice fragment, other rare artifacts were found during excavations in late 2022 and early 2023. Weighed gloves instead of wrist weights are what I found to be better. If you use these alone, you could get hurt, but it will make your workouts more intense. This is a good thing to know.
When you put on gloves, they each add one pound of weight. There is enough room for them in the controllers to fit them in.
Even if you wear glasses, you can play with the Oculus 2 and have a good time. This is where a set of inserts for prescription lenses are kept.
Oculus has teamed up with FramesDirect to make these Rx inserts, which start at $80 for Virtu Clear lens inserts. There are other VR Rx lens inserts, like those made by VR lens lab WidmoVR. I only tried Virtu Clear lenses, though. People who don’t need glasses can play because they work well and are easy to get.
We have a lot of eye games that are meant to make you sweat. A silicone or faux leather face cover is a good idea because you can quickly clean it off after each game. I bought this Vukoo bundle with a set of controller grips and a lens cover (it is essential to protect the lenses from the sun and shocks). Everything fits and works well, so there aren’t any problems with it.
I also found this Veer bundle for $20, with a front face cover. If you buy more for less, it might be a better deal. I haven’t tried it, so I can’t be sure.
Oculus Quest 2 has some excellent table tennis games that are very realistic (I play Eleven Ping Pong). But if you want to make it even more natural, you can turn your Oculus Quest 2 controller into what sounds like a real ping-pong racket with a paddle handle add-on. People think they are holding back an actual paddle because the weight balance is close enough to make them feel like they are. This game is challenging. If you like to play virtual ping pong a lot, you need to play a lot of it!
As long as you have a cable, you can use any headphones with a cord with the Oculus Quest 2 headset. A few headsets are “Oculus ready,” like Logitech’s G Pro gaming headset for the Quest 2. It looks strong and is comfortable for headphones that go over the ear. Memory ear pads in foam make it easier to block out outside noise. Ensure you get a short cable for the Oculus Quest 2 and other cable accessories that let you use the headset with your PC and more game consoles. The boom microphone can be taken off.
If you wear these while playing a VR workout game, your head will get a little hot, but they also sound good.
If you want to play more comfortably, buy an “elite” strap instead of the standard one. This is the official version for the eyes. This is the best one. I bought a fake Esimen with a case for about the same price as the real thing (see above). All went well, but some people want the official version, which is all there is.
You can use the Logitech G333 earphones instead of full-size headphones if you don’t want to wear them while you listen to music, but they are not as good. A lanyard of the correct length for Oculus headphones also comes with the headphones.
Because the cable to the right bud is longer, the cord can be worn behind your neck. This lets you leave the thread hanging when you don’t have the buds in your ears. As far as earbuds go, these aren’t very fancy at all. They have a strong cable, feel strong overall, and are suitable for the Oculus Quest 2. If you get an airtight seal, they make a good sound (some different-size tips are included).
There are a lot of cheap earphones for the Oculus Quest 2 that you can find here. However, I haven’t tried them, and some don’t seem as durable as the Logitech G333, which I have.
As it sounds, this charging dock for the Oculus Quest 2 is just what it looks like. It is a place to put your Oculus 2 head drives and controllers when you aren’t using them. It comes with rechargeable batteries for the controllers, a USB-C cable, and a power adapter to charge them (connect the cable to the dock).
The pier also comes with a small magnetic USB-C adapter that can connect to the USB-C port on the Oculus headset so that you can play games on it. Once the head is docked, click the magnetic charger to the adapter.
I could upload the head even if the unit had an elite head belt. To charge the controllers, you have to take off any hold you have on them.
Amazon has a lot of good reviews for this set of accessories, but I haven’t tried them out yet. It is an excellent way to connect an external battery (not included) for long game sessions, but I haven’t tried it yet.
The back of the comfort strap has a magnetic area to connect it to other things. When you put the adhesive metal plate on a battery you want to use, the storm then attaches to the strap.
If you want a lens cap, this Orzero VR is one of the most popular for less than $10. I look for accessory packs with a lens cap, but some people only want that one thing.
Playing Oculus PC VR games on your Quest 2 is possible, but you need a Link cable. Oculus has made its Air connection wireless option (over Wi-Fi) more stable. The official Oculus Link cable costs $79, but there are many cheaper options, like this 20ft KRX cable that costs less.
If you want an external battery to connect to the headset for more juice, this 10,000mAh Aukey is a good option for $20. You will have to understand a way to mount it on the headset. I made a DIY frame with a stick-on magnet on the back of a knockoff Elite Head Strap and then attached an adhesive plate to the battery. It worked great. Magnets are your friend when it comes to assembly.
