Meta Announces Closure of Messenger Lite on Android: What You Need to Know

Meta, the technology giant formerly known as Facebook, recently made an announcement that has left users disappointed. The company revealed its plans to shut down the popular instant messaging application “Messenger Lite” on the Android system. Starting from September 18th, this application will no longer be available for use, leaving many users scrambling for alternatives.

Initially introduced in late 2016, Messenger Lite was designed as a trimmed-down version of the main Messenger app, specifically tailored to function seamlessly on Android devices with lower specifications.
