In detail, technology experts, including Verizon, explained a simple tweak that will make your smartphone run four times faster and the battery can reach 90% in just an hour and a half. And the trick is in the settings – just switch to Airplane mode when charging.

Flight Mode: Boosting Charging Speed

When your phone is in flight mode, it stops using cellular, Bluetooth, radio, and Wi-Fi features, which are constantly draining your battery in the background. All wireless communication protocols are disabled once Airplane Mode is turned on, which is required of passengers while on board aircraft.

For iOS users, Airplane Mode is found in the main menu of the Settings app. Once you open Settings, the feature will be visible at the top. Once you activate Airplane Mode, scroll down to Battery in Settings and turn on Low Battery Mode, which will also increase charging speed.
