Threads Adds New Repost Features and Gains Massive Success on Instagram: Find Out More

In a new move that makes it more like X (formerly Twitter), after it was originally launched to pull the rug out from under it, Threads has added two new features that focus on reposts.

The head of the Instagram photo and video sharing service, affiliated with Meta, on which the new platform is based, Adam Mosseri, announced the feature in a post on “Threads” on Thursday, according to the “Arab Portal for Technical News.”

Mosseri also went on to say that “There are two small updates to Threads worth noting: We’re introducing a new repost tab on your profile so you can see all your reposts from Threads in one place.”

He also added that the socialworking platform, which was launched to all users in early July, also added republished posts in the “Followers” tab, stressing that this feature came at the request of users.

Massive Success

The two repost features come after Threads earlier this month made it possible to share a post in Instagram Direct Messages, a new way to add custom text to photos and videos in posts, and a new button to easily tag someone in their Instagram account. Threads Publications.

It is noteworthy that the platform managed to achieve tremendous success in favor of Instagram and Meta. Just 5 days after its launch, it has attracted more than 100 million subscriptions.

However, data from research firms Sensor Tower and Similarweb showed that the service experienced some decline in growth and engagement in the following week.

And at the end of last July, Mark Zuckerberg told employees that company officials are very focused on increasing the retention of Threads users, after the platform lost more than half of its users in the weeks following its launch, which caused a sensation.
