The source explained that the feature is reassuring for privacy lovers and will only work on text processing on the device and will not be uploaded to ‘WhatsApp’ servers.
However, this feature will face some hurdles, according to technology specialists, in how much the function will not be in able to provide a written text when it is not in able to process the voice message, if it is spoken in a language that is not registered in its database.

It was reported that WhatsApp was also testing the link preview feature in status (Link Previews on Status) which allows users to see a visual preview of the content of links participating in status updates, in similar to what happens when you share links in chats. He said the visual previews improve the look of statuses and also give contacts a better idea of the link before clicking on it.
He also added that it has started rolling out new features to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
