Most people have room in their lives and garages for a midsize SUV. They are neither too big nor too small, so most people can use them. What are you looking for? Is it good and cheap, or does it not matter that much about money? Here’s what we think you should do! Let’s go there right now!

The best small SUV in the world can’t be bought all at once. Everyone has different needs and likes different things about different kinds of cars. That doesn’t mean we haven’t been interested in any new midsize SUVs. Kia’s redesigned Sorento, on the other hand, stands out.
Even though there are many great midsize SUVs, the 2021 Kia Sorento is one of the best. The bigger Telluride and the smaller Seltos are where the Sorento gets some of its more aggressive looks. It looks great and has just the right personality inside and out. You can keep it simple as long as you don’t spend a lot of money. You can make it look like it came from a fancy hotel if you want to spend a lot of money.
People who like different kinds of powertrains will be happy with the 2021 Sorento. Both naturally aspirated and turbocharged inline-4 engines can be found in the Sorento. It also has a hybrid and will soon have a hybrid that plugs in. It makes no difference what’s inside. It drives very well.

In the past, we tried not to make this list look like our list of the best SUVs from earlier this year, but the 2021 Genesis GV80 looks great and drives well.
You can’t make a mistake with the Genesis GV80. In this case, it’s the first utility vehicle that Genesis has made. It has all the luxury features expected from Hyundai Motor Company’s high-end brand. The inside and the outside look nice, and there is a lot of storage space behind the second row. People who need to move more than five can sometimes add a third row.
A 3.5-liter V6 that can be added makes 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Some sports cars are on the market, but this isn’t one of them. It’s made to go on long highway drives, handle bad roads, and give you a smooth ride. There are also a lot of different kinds of technology to choose from. There is one of our favorite systems in any car.

The Lamborghini Urus 2021 isn’t a small SUV. It’s a midsize SUV that costs as much as a house, but it’s still a midsize SUV by definition.
The more than $218,000 Urus is an SUV and a fast car at the same time. It won’t leave you without enough energy. Thanks to its 4.0-liter V8 engine, you and your stuff can get to 62 mph in about 3.6 seconds. Even the sound of a Lamborghini is like that of a Lamborghini. It makes that sweet V8 sound travel a surprising distance when it hits a hard surface.
As you might have thought, the Urus looks like a weird car. There are a lot of sharp corners on the outside of the car. The inside looks like a fighter jet because of the huge shifter assembly that sits just below the infotainment screens. If you’ve ever wanted to drive down Rodeo Drive in a Gundam, you can do that with the Urus.
Lamborghini Urus: Not the Prettiest, But Pretty Quick


Not every powerful mid-sized SUV comes from Germany. American muscle has also made its way to this market, and Dodge’s three-row SUV is a lot of fun.
It costs a lot less than the Lamborghini Urus, starting at $64,000. The 2021 Dodge Durango SRT has a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine that makes 475 horsepower. That power goes to all four wheels, so the SUV can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, which isn’t too far behind the Urus. If you’re willing to give up some power, the Durango R/T starts at more than $45,000 and has a 360-hp V8. In the big picture, that’s a lot of cheap speed.
The Durango is getting a little old for a three-row SUV. Still, it’s a good option. It has a lot of space for people and things, can tow a lot of weight (more on that later), and its Uconnect entertainment system is still one of our favourites.

If you bought a Toyota Venza in the past, you might have thought it looked a little worn. It was kind of like a cross between a minivan and an SUV. But now the nameplate is on a real utility vehicle that is both comfortable and good at what it does, which is good.
The Venza has a total of 219 horsepower from its 2.5-liter engine and three electric motors. This might not seem like much, but it’s enough for what the Venza needs. The EPA says the Venza will get 40 miles per gallon on the highway, 37 miles per gallon in the city, and 39 miles per gallon overall. This means that the Venza is a good deal.
The 2021 Venza also comes with a lot of great technology. There is an optional electrochromic sunroof that can be made clear or dark by pressing a button. This lets in just the right amount of sun for the situation. Screen of 12.3 inches: The optional screen runs Toyota’s new infotainment system, which gives the driver just the right amount of information to keep them safe and not too distracted. So, how was the trip? It’s so soft that you could put a Lexus badge on this car and no one would notice.

The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E is not the best Mustang on the block, but oh boy, it’s one of the best mid-size SUVs we’ve driven in a while.
The Mustang Mach-E is a cool car. This is the First Edition trim, which has a battery that can hold 98.8 hours of charge, and electric motors that make about 332 horsepower and 417 pounds of torque. Large and small batteries can be mixed with rear- and all-wheel-drive options, giving you a lot of options for how you want to drive. Want to go all the way? Choose the big battery and RWD; the EPA says the car can go 300 miles on one charge.
Tech in the Mustang Mach-E is great, as well; 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster and a 15.5-inch portrait display in the middle of the dashboard provide access to, well, just about everything you could want to know about your car. In Mach-E, you can drive with just one pedal. The ride is more like going on a long road trip, but throwing this midsize electric SUV around some tight corners is still fun.

Yes, we had to put the Dodge Durango SRT on this list again. When you see how much the Dodge Durango can pull, you won’t be surprised that it’s back.
Three different types of the 2021 Dodge Durango can tow up to 8,700 pounds. This is about how much you can carry before you need an SUV or truck with a full-size body-on-frame. This is what the SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat can do without any extra gear. The only thing the 5.7-liter R/T needs is a Tow ‘N Go package. V6 models can pull 6,200 pounds, so you don’t have to spend a lot to get real power.

Since the Ford Bronco hasn’t come out yet, the best midsize SUV for people who like to go off-roading is still the Jeep Wrangler.
As it did in the past, the Wrangler comes in many different shapes, sizes, and types of engines. For example, the Jeep comes with either two or four doors. You can get it with a diesel engine or with more off-road gear than most people will ever need. The Wrangler Rubicon has electronic locking differentials in the front and back, an electronic disconnect for the sway bar, a crawl ratio of 84:1, and 33-inch all-terrain tyres as standard. It also doesn’t mind hanging out on rocks in the middle of nowhere.

One of the best midsize SUVs on the market is the new 2021 Kia Telluride. It has three rows of seats, so your whole family can go with you.
The Telluride has a roomy cabin that won’t break the bank because it’s made of leather, wood, and metal. If you don’t want all the extras, you can still get a good SUV for a lot less than the average price of a new car in 2021. On the highway, you get less than 25mpg with all-wheel drive.

Mercedes GLE, technology is all around you. There is a lot of tech in the car, which makes it a great choice for techies who want to show off or make driving in the city easier.
The GLE is the best when it comes to comfort. You can heat or cool the cup holders, and the front seats can also be made to massage you. For an extra $100, you can add turn-by-turn directions for augmented reality to the MBUX infotainment system. You can find your wallet or cell phone in dark parts of the cabin with the help of an overhead camera and lasers that track the hands and arms of the front row. You can enjoy a clean cabin with a built-in fragrance dispenser, heated front seats, and one of the best sound systems you can get in a car. The GLE might have what you want, even if you have to pay for it.


You know that Hyundai has great warranties because they have been doing a good job for a long time. The new Santa Fe, Hyundai’s new midsize SUV, won’t change that.
Even if you don’t buy a Santa Fe, Hyundai’s warranty is still the best in the business. No matter what you buy, it comes with a warranty that covers everything for five years or 60,000 miles. The warranty on the powertrain lasts for 10 years or 100,000 miles. The body will not rust for seven years and an unlimited number of miles. Only in roadside assistance, where Lincoln has unlimited coverage, is it better than Hyundai. On the other hand, Hyundai gives you five years and unlimited miles.


The Chevrolet Traverse is a good three-row SUV for the mass market that is affordable and meets the needs of people who want good transportation. It also has a lot of room to carry things.
The most space is in the Chevrolet Traverse, which is a midsize SUV. There is a lot of room for a car here. When the second row seats are folded down, the Traverse can hold 98.2 cubic feet of stuff, which is a lot more than the Buick Enclave (97.6 cubic feet) and the VW Atlas (98.2 cubic feet) (96.8 cu. ft.). In fact, those are the only three midsize SUVs with more than 90 cubic feet of space inside.

When figuring out how safe a car is, it’s not enough to just list all the standard driver-assistance systems. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety puts cars through a lot more tests than the government does, so we’re going to choose the car with the best safety ratings.
The IIHS says it is the safest in its class. The safest mid-size SUV is the 2021 Subaru Ascent. “Good” is good in all IIHS crash tests, even the tricky small-overlap front tests for both sides of the car. Some cars have good headlights and good, easy-to-use child seat hardware. One of them is this one. Also, in both tests that looked at how well cars and people could avoid hitting each other, the Ascent got the best grades for crash prevention. No other mid-size SUV comes close to the 2021 Subaru Ascent, and no other SUV can do as well as it did.

Almost 10 years have passed, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee hasn’t changed at all. It’s been very good all that time. People are surprised that Jeep would be hesitant to mess with such a big hit, but the new 2021 model looks great and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel.
As of now, we only have the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, which has three extra rows. This new truck has a wheelbase that’s about 7 inches longer than the current one. It also has a body that’s almost a full foot longer. If you’ve seen the Grand Wagoneer concept car in the last few months, you’ll see a lot of styling cues that look a lot like this car.
Magic happens inside, where Jeep went to great lengths to make the interior look modern and make it better than before. Spec it right, and you can get quilted leather, open-pore wood, and a lot of real metal. 10.2 inch gauges and a 10.1 inch color touchscreen bring the most up to date information technology into the mix. There will also be a lot of safety features. As soon as the spring comes around, the Grand Cherokee L should show up at dealerships. The two-row Grand Cherokee will follow later in the year. Each year, the editors of Roadshow spend a lot of time on the road looking at cars in a wide range of categories. All the things we’ve done together are on these lists, and the best ones are highlighted here. There are many cars you can buy in each category, but these are some of our favourites.
