Japan supports its fleet with new missile ships

Japanese media reports that the Japanese Ministry of Defense plans to support the Navy with new missile ships.

According to the Sankei Shimbun newspaper, “Japan’s new missile ships will be equipped with advanced Aegis tracking and guidance systems, which will allow them to launch long-range missiles capable of hitting targets without getting close to enemy weapons.”

The Sankei Shimbun noted, “Currently, Japan does not have defense assets designed to deal with weapons and hypersonic missiles, and in order to accelerate the development of anti-missile systems for these weapons, the Japanese have been asked to submit a draft defense budget for 2023. government.”
