The Russian Ministry of Defense for the first time published a video of the use of the Lancet hovercraft against a vehicle with Ukrainian fighters.
The video shows how a self-driving drone approaches a four-wheel drive car parked on the side of the road, surrounded by Ukrainian military personnel.
The video also shows that the Lancet approached the target and was hit by a precisely directed explosion. The video also shows that at the last moment, Ukrainian fighters saw a drone approaching them and began to leave, but the explosion covered them all.
It is noteworthy that in July last year, the Russian news agency Novosti reported that the Russian army had begun using Lancet-3 amphibious munitions to destroy Ukrainian infantry.
Suicide drones manufactured by the Kalashnikov Zala company increased their time in the air to one hour, and the weight of the explosives they carry increased to 5 kilograms. The upgraded version of the “Lancet-3” received a large wing and X-shaped tail.
The drone develops a speed of 110 kilometers per hour, and its weight is 12 kilograms.
One of the advantages of the Lancet-3 is that it is equipped with special devices capable of reversing the laser. It can also imitate the flight of a bird thanks to its X-shaped wing and tail design, making it impossible for the enemy to locate and identify it.
