Ufa is the fourth Varshavyanka-class submarine developed by Russia as part of Project 636 for the Pacific Fleet in its army, and work on this submarine began in 2019, and several Russian submarines are currently being developed under the project. . of the aforementioned project, such as the Mogaisk and Yakutsk submarines.

The danger of these submarines is that they make a very low noise level compared to other diesel-powered submarines, and are covered in special materials that prevent them from being detected by the enemy, which is why some call them “black hole submarines”.

A submarine of this type has a length of 73 meters, a width of 10 meters, is able to dive to a depth of 300 meters, reach speeds of up to 20 knots and operate autonomously at sea for 45 days. Winged “Caliber” for sea and land targets.
