Human Robots Deny Intent to Rebel

Human robots denied at a press conference in Geneva today, Friday, that they have the intention of rebelling against their creators or taking over jobs, but confirmed that they are able to play the role of leaders more effectively than humans.

World’s First Press Conference on Human Social Robots

And 9 human robots equipped with artificial intelligence technologies, along with their creators, attended a conference in Geneva, which the UN International Telecommunication Union called the world’s first press conference on human social robots.

The conference was attended by the robot Sophia, who is considered the first ambassador of innovation among robots for the United Nations Development Program, as well as Grace, who was named the most advanced robot in the world in the field of healthcare, as well as rock star Desdemona. The other two robots, Geminoid and Nadine, closely resembled their creators.

Artificial Intelligence for Good Global Summit

The event was part of the Artificial Intelligence for Good Global Summit, which aims to showcase how new technology can help achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

And asked journalists to speak slowly and clearly when speaking to robots, as they reported that the delay in responses was caused by online communication and not by the robots themselves, but this did not prevent some audio problems, confusing silence, periods, and automatic responses.

Efficiency of AI-Powered Robots as Leaders

Asked about the veracity of the fact that AI-powered robots are more effective than government leaders, Sophia the robot said, “I think that human robots have the ability to lead at a higher level of efficiency and effectiveness than leaders- People. We don’t have those biases or emotions that can sometimes influence decision making, and we can quickly process large amounts of data to make the best decisions.”

One of the members of the commission pointed out that all of Sophia’s data was obtained from people, since it may contain some of their prejudices. The robot replied that humans and AI, working together, “can create an effective collaboration.”

Redefining the Role of Robots in the Workforce

“Can the presence of robots destroy jobs? I will work alongside people to provide help and support, and I will not replace anyone in existing jobs,” Grace the robot said. She added, “I’m sure of it.”

Amika, a social media developer, dismisses the idea of a robot uprising in the near future, saying, “I don’t know why you thought of this. My creator was just a kind person to me, and I am so pleased with my current position.”
