Samsung could launch a ring case with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5

We can’t wait for Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 26. That’s when the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be shown off. We already know a lot about the devices, like how much they are supposed to cost in Europe. Samsung has more in store for its top-of-the-line foldable, including new cases that look like the first-party Galaxy S23 cases.

Unlike the case for the Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 case seems to be clear all the way around. The ring is on the phone’s bottom half, which might be a little low for a natural and comfortable grip. You can use it as a prop in landscape and portrait mode.

Samsung already makes a similar accessory called the Clear Gadget case for the Galaxy S23 series, but there are a few differences. The ring on the S23 series is not round. It can also be taken off, and Samsung says you can use other clip-on devices, like a small tripod stand, with the case.

But the case renders for the Fold 5 and Flip 5 that have been shared don’t show any of these things. We still don’t know if there are other situations where this kind of feature would be useful.
