SBS Biz says that Samsung’s new Extended Reality (XR) gear, which was supposed to come out in February 2024, has been pushed back by three to six months.
The Korean publication says that Samsung had originally planned to start mass production of its XR headset at the start of next year. However, the Korean conglomerate decided to review all of the specs and design of the XR headset because of the specs of the Apple Vision Pro, which delayed its launch.
Samsung is rethinking the specs and style of its new XR headset, but things aren’t going well for Apple either. The Vision Pro is having trouble being made, so Apple has lowered its goal of selling 1 million units in the first month it’s available.
Apple is also said to be planning to release the Vision Pro slowly, and people can only buy it by making an appointment.
