WhatsApp Launches New Feature for Short Video Messages
WhatsApp, the instant messaging application, has announced the launch of a new feature for short and direct video messages after weeks of testing.
The British newspaper “The Sun” reported that the new feature is currently being rolled out to all users, noting that it will make “chats” better.
WhatsApp, owned by “Meta” company, stated in a blog post:
“WhatsApp voice messages have changed the way people communicate by providing a fast and secure way to share your messages with your voice. We are excited to introduce the new instant video messages.”
Now, you can record short personal video clips and share them directly in the chat.
All “WhatsApp” users need to do is tap the “voice messages” button once to switch to “short video messages.”
Afterwards, they can record a clip for up to 60 seconds.
The recorded video cannot be edited or resent, making it exclusively for the recipient.
It is believed that this feature is inspired by the rival application “Snapchat.”
