Meta, which owns WhatsApp, said on Saturday that the new feature that lets people join groups right from the chat screen was being rolled out.
WaBetaInfo says the update will be available through the Google Play Beta Program. It will bring the version of the chat app to 2.23.16.10.
Some beta testers can use the new “add participants” tool right now, and more users will be able to use it in the coming days.
With this function, users could add new people to the group from the group chat screen.
Users would see a new banner that would push them to add new people to the group. This would save them time because they wouldn’t have to open the group info.
“If the user taps on that banner, they can quickly choose new people to add to the group, as long as the group settings allow it,” the WhatsApp watcher said.
This function isn’t necessary, but it saves time because it makes adding new members easier. Users won’t have to look through the group information to do a small, easy job.
“However, the biggest benefit is that it reminds the user to add new members to the group,” it said.
Those who go to the Google Play Store and get the latest Android WhatsApp beta updates will be able to use this function.
